Do you ever wake up in the morning and think to yourself, today is the day I 3D Print Chicken Arms! No? Anyway, if you’re having a bad day, I can guarantee that you will have a smile on your face after reading this post unless, of course, you’re more of a dog person but that’s okay too.

It all started when I saw the popular 3D Printed T-REX Chicken Arms by Jonah making its rounds on Twitter and to my absolute delight, I soon realised that there are brilliant 3D Makers out there designing a variety of Chicken Arm Models and making them available to the 3D Printing Community, and of course, us die-hard Chicken fanatics. Naturally, I’ve 3D Printed what I believe to be the Top Three Chicken Arms 3D Models on the internet that everyone with a 3D Printer should try out like yesterday.

These Chicken Arms 3D Models were created for entertainment purposes only and no Chickens were harmed in this project.

Whew! Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get into it!

And here they are in all their glory! I took this project a step further by experimenting with painting these 3D Models which I chat more about at the end of this blog post. Oh, how rude of me. Allow me to introduce to you ‘Poppy the Chicken’ who (I might add) did a great job modeling these arms. You can find the STL links and a short review of these designs below. Ya welcome.

To Make This Project You Will Need

Creality Ender 3 V2 (or any 3D Printer)
CCTREE Black PLA
– Vallejo Model Paint
– You may need a Chicken

STL Files & Reviews

  • T-Rex Chicken Arms – Easy to print, scalable and sit perfectly on the Chicken’s back. Poppy was very comfortable in them. In my opinion, the context in which this design was created makes it even more entertaining. If you don’t have a 3D Printer Jonah has also created an Etsy Store called MiddleGA3DPrinting where you can purchase these epic little T-Rex Arms.

  • Armed Chicken Arms – I love the fact that this design comes with weapon accessories. If you have a Chicken a similar size to Poppy make sure to print with no more than two shell (how ironic) walls and a 10% infill as anything above that makes the design heavier especially when adding on the accessories. Overall, an impressive design with awesome details!

  • Boxer Chicken Arms – This is an awesome design and the results speak for themselves. If you want to create yourself a little ‘Clucky Balboa’ this is the print for you! Best results when printed with brim and supports.

Model Painting 3D Printed Chicken Arms

In this video, I will show you my process and some cool techniques I learned along the way. Shout out to local Graffiti, Miniatures & Mural Artist Brendan Lyle for teaching me the model painting ways.

Let’s Wrap It Up

Are you not entertained? Thanks for coming this far, and I hope that this blog post was able to put you in a good mood. To put it all together, the T-Rex Chicken Arms took it home for me both in terms of entertainment, design, and not to mention its evolutionary-correctness. The two other designs were super fun, easy to print and I highly recommend printing all three! Okay, so you’ve heard my opinion. Now, let me know which Chicken Arm Model was your favourite by leaving a comment below. Until next time, I’m out.
